EFCC detains woman over alleged N165m property fraud in Delta

Mrs. Salt Adeaze Udoka has been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) Benin Zonal Directorate on suspicion of committing N165 million in property fraud.

The 48-year-old Udoka is accused of working with two other people to steal N165 million by pretending to sell their victim a piece of landed property.

According to the Commission's preliminary inquiry, the victim gave the suspect and her accomplice, Ndubisi John Iheukwumere, the aforementioned sum, with the promise that they would sell him the 100-acre land in Ewulu Kingdom, Delta State.

However, Udoka and her associates stopped communicating with their victim after receiving the money, leaving the buyer without the goods he had paid for and without a refund.

According to the EFCC, the female suspect has provided the Commission with helpful statements and will face charges as soon as the investigation is complete.
