In the parallel market, the Naira fell from N1,388 per dollar on Wednesday to N1,392 per dollar yesterday.

Similarly, on the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the value of the naira fell to N1,371 per dollar.

The indicative exchange rate for the market dropped to N1,371 per dollar from N1,368.95 per dollar on Wednesday, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), indicating a N2.05 increase for the naira. 

As a result, the difference between the official and parallel markets increased from N19.05 to N21 per dollar on Wednesday.

The interbank foreign exchange market's turnover dropped from $130.6 million the day before to $78.8 million, a 39.6% reduction.
