Nollywood actress Tolani Akintunde dies in the UK

After having a heart attack, Nollywood actress Tolani Akintunde died in the United Kingdom.  The actress from "Everyday People" passed away a few days ago, according to internet reports.

Media personality and Best of Nollywood Awards organiser Seun Oloketuyi initially broke the heartbreaking news on social media.

According to the post, the actress's friends and family are having a hard time accepting the news of her passing because it was a tremendous shock to them.

Seun continued by saying that even though they have come to terms with the tragic reality, they are still deeply grieving the loss.  According to reports, she is beginning to accept the loss of her mother and is survived by her lovely kid.

Akintunde made a name for herself in Nollywood before moving overseas, appearing in well-known TV soap operas like "Everyday People" and "Palace," which were both produced by Tajudeen Adepetu and aired in the early 2000s.

After becoming a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, Akintunde moved to the UK, where she started a new career and went into business.

Just six months into 2025, actress and plus-sized model Monalisa Stephen died in the middle of this month due to complications involving low blood sugar and internal bleeding.

Veteran actress Nkechi Nweje passed away two months ago following a brief illness.  Peter Obi was present at her funeral a few days ago in Anambra State.  Rotimi Raji, a film producer, was discovered dead in his toilet in February.
