NUC approves six programs for Kwara private university

Six academic programs of Summit University in Offa, Kwara State, have received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission.  Microbiology, Biochemistry, Computer Science, 

Accounting, Business Administration, and Political Science are the six programs that were evaluated by the NUC expert panels and were given full accreditation status for the upcoming five years.  

The Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria congratulated the faith-based university on its accomplishment in a statement released to the media in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Wednesday. Dr. Sola Hassan, the society's national publicity secretary, said the development highlights the university's dedication to providing high-quality education based on excellence, innovation, and integrity.

“This achievement reflects Summit University’s strong academic structure, highly qualified faculty, state-of-the-art facilities, and dedication to upholding national and global standards in higher education.

“As the 2025/2026 admission season opens, the Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria encourages prospective students and their parents to consider Summit University, Offa, for its academic excellence and unique 7 Transformative Skills Framework.

“This framework empowers students in emerging fields like Artificial Intelligence, Financial Literacy, Renewable Energy, Global Citizenship, and Acadopreneurship, ensuring graduates are academically sound and future-ready.”

The group added that worthy students are assisted in their academic endeavours by the university's scholarship options.  It further stated that the university's stakeholders were eager to see students contribute positively to society.
