58 inmates sit for NECO examination in Kano
The 2025 National Examination Council (NECO) Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) is presently being taken by 58 prisoners from the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano State Command.
Musbahu Kofar-Nasarawa, the command's public relations officer, made this announcement in Kano on Sunday.
He claimed that the Kano State Government, led by Governor Abba Yusuf, had reached the milestone after paying the registration fees.
“The gesture is a testament to the state government’s commitment to the welfare, rehabilitation, reformation, and reintegration of inmates in the command,” Kofar-Nasarawa said.
The command sent its sincere appreciation to the Governor for his steadfast assistance and collaboration, saying that it would help prisoners' spirits and provide them another opportunity at education and a better future.
“The NCoS Kano State Command remains committed to providing a conducive environment for the rehabilitation and reformation of inmates.
“We are proud to have the support of the Kano State Government in this endeavour,” the statement added.
