Amotekun apprehends two suspected cultists in Ogun

In the state's Ipokia Local Government Area, the Ogun State Security Network Agency, also called the Amotekun Corps, claims to have apprehended two alleged cultists and found a locally made pistol, a live round, and one axe.

Residents in the region were allegedly abducted and killed by the suspects, who were named as 22-year-old Raji Selim, 23-year-old Rafiu Saheed, and 25-year-old Idowu Ganiu, who is presently at large.

In a press release provided to reporters in Abeokuta on Thursday, Corps Deputy Commander Tajudeen Bakare stated that they were taken into custody on Wednesday at approximately 11 p.m. in the Owotedo neighborhood of Ajegunle Idirorko.

Bakare claims that the three suspects were apprehended while traveling to conduct their operations aboard an unlicensed Bajaj Boxer.

According to the Deputy Commander, the suspects have been moved to SCID Eleweran, Abeokuta, for investigation and prosecution, along with the recovered exhibits.

He advised parents, stakeholders, and members of the public to closely monitor their children, neighbors, and any questionable individuals.
