Bandits demand N150M ransom to free Kwara monarch
The bandits who abducted Ojibara of Bayagan in Ifelodun local government area of Kwara state, Alh Kamilu Salami, on his farm Saturday morning, have demanded N150 million from the community before he can be freed.
The bandits demanded the money by speaking with the community in the early hours of the day. The criminals asked Oba Ojibara to talk to people in his community so they would think he was under their control.
According to Vanguard, the monarch begged the community to save him during his lamentations.
by negotiating his speedy release with the bandits. He said they transported him on a motorcycle through the deep forests for more than 5 hours before they got at their goal, where they were speaking with the locals.
At press time, negotiation has not began, as the call was designed to alert the community of the ransom amount and that the king is in their possession.
While being hauled away, the king allegedly informed residents of his community that an unknown number of individuals had also been kidnapped in the neighboring community.
In Kwara State's Ifelodun Local Government Area, there is a sizable community called Bayagan. Remember that a group of criminals with AK-47 weapons raided the monarch's farm at around 9:30 in the morning and abducted him.
