Benue governor appoints eight new commissioners
In accordance with constitutional procedures, Benue State Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia has forwarded the initial group of Commissioner-nominees to the state House of Assembly for verification and screening.
Tersoo Kula, the governor's spokesperson, revealed this in a statement on Friday.
According to him, the “development marks a significant step in enhancement of the machinery of governance and ensuring effective service delivery across various sectors.”
He noted that the “second batch of nominees is expected to be forwarded to the House of Assembly in a matter of days”.
