Body of missing police inspector found in Lagos

Bishop Clement, a police inspector, was discovered dead in Lagos State a week after his wife filed a missing person's report.

It was discovered that Insp. Clement's corpse was discovered at Second Rainbow in the state's Festac Town neighbourhood.

It was not possible to get in touch with CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), to confirm the development.  As of the time of writing, there had been no response to a text message sent to his known phone number.

Insp. Clement, whose number is AP/No. 352498, was reported missing by his wife at approximately 3 p.m. on April 23, 2025, when he failed to return home from work, according to a police internal signal this week that was stamped 2680/LS/AP/VOL.1/146.

The Assistant Commissioner of Police, Area "B," Apapa, and the Commissioner of Police, Department of Finance and Administration (COMPOL DFA), Ikeja, both signed the signal.

According to the signal, Insp. Clement's wife also claimed that he had not only failed to return home, but that his known phone numbers were unreachable.

Every division and organisation in the state was placed on notice in case the location of the missing inspector might be traced.
