The primary online recruitment exam for shortlisted candidates in the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadres will take place on Thursday, October 9, 2025, according to the Nigeria Customs Service.  

The service released this information in a public notification on Tuesday through its verified channels.  

The statement states that applicants have been divided into three batches, A, B, and C. They can verify their batch, exam date, and time by logging in with their NID on the official recruitment website, https://updates.customs.gov.ng.

“The Main Online Recruitment Examination for all shortlisted Inspectorate and Customs Assistant Cadre applicants has been scheduled for Thursday, 9th October 2025,” the notice read.

The service cautioned that rigorous adherence to the designated batch and time was required and that noncompliance could result in disqualification.

“Candidates are strongly advised against the use of calculators, mobile phones, or any other devices during the examination,” it stated.

Additionally, applicants were warned that switching between browser windows or logging in multiple times during the test could negatively impact their participation.  

The Customs Service made it clear that the Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadre applicants were the only ones eligible for the current exercise; applicants in the Superintendent cadre would be considered at a later time.
