Dino Melaye appears in court for the first time as a lawyer
Dino Melaye, a former senator from Kogi West, has been in court for the first time since being admitted to the Nigerian Bar.
During the 8th Assembly, Dino, a graduate of the law school at Baze University in Abuja, represented the Kogi West Senatorial District in the red chamber.
On Friday, July 18, Melaye appeared before Justice Emeka Nwite at Court 8 of the Federal High Court in Abuja while wearing a complete wig and gown.
According to a post on his official Facebook page, Melaye, a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress said: “Senator Dino Melaye at the Federal High Court Abuja today. Appeared before Justice Emeka Nwite of Court 8”
The former politician, one of more than 5,000 new attorneys called to the Bar in Abuja in early July, entered the legal profession after years in politics and public life.
