EFCC nabs 31 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa
31 people have been taken into custody by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission agents in Nasarawa State on suspicion of engaging in crimes involving the internet.
According to a statement released by the anti-graft agency via X on Tuesday, the suspects were captured in Nasarawa Toto after receiving reliable information.
“Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 31 suspected internet fraudsters in Nasarawa State.
“They were arrested on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Nasarawa Toto, Nasarawa State, following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in internet-related offences,” the statement read.
The EFCC claims that during the operation, a number of unusual phones and laptops were found on the accused.
The committee further stated that after the investigations were over, the accused will face charges in court.
