FG declares June 6 and 9 as public holiday for Eid-el-Kabir

In honour of this year's Eid-ul-Adha festival, the Federal Government has announced Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, as public holidays.  

On behalf of the Federal Government, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, Minister of the Interior, made the announcement.  He complimented the whole Muslim Ummah on the occasion, both domestically and abroad.  

In addition to using the occasion to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, he urged the Muslim Ummah to keep up the spirit of faith and sacrifice that Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) embodied.

The Minister promised Nigerians in a statement made by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, that the people-oriented reforms and initiatives implemented in support of President Bola Tinubu's Administration's Renewed Hope Agenda would put Nigeria back on the path to progress.  In additi
