Former NIA, SSS DG, Albert Horsfall is dead
Albert Korubo Horsfall, the first Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and former Director-General of the State Security Service (DSS), passed away.
Donald Horsfall, his son, revealed this in a statement on Friday.
The family highlighted his decades of devotion to Nigeria, Rivers State, and the Niger Delta while describing his passing as the loss of a "beloved patriarch."
It further stated that the deceased led a happy and significant life devoted to God, his family, his community, Rivers State, and Nigeria.
The family said, “Chief A.K. Horsfall was an illustrious son of the Niger Delta, a distinguished public servant, statesman, administrator, and one of the most respected figures in the history of Rivers State and Nigeria at Large.”
One of Rivers State's founding fathers, Horsfall made important contributions to the state's and the nation's development during his public service career.
