Four people die in London plane crash
According to authorities on Monday, all four occupants of a tiny aircraft that crashed soon after takeoff from London Southend Airport have died.
The victims, none of whom are British, are still being formally identified, according to Essex Police. On Sunday, Zeusch Aviation, a Dutch company, flew a Beechcraft B200 Super King Air from Athens, Greece to Pula, Croatia, and then on to Southend.
On Sunday night, it was scheduled to return to its home base in the Netherlands, Lelystad. Shortly after taking off, the 23-meter (39-foot) turboprop plane crashed and caught fire.
.“Sadly, we can now confirm that all four people on board died,” Essex Police chief superintendent Morgan Cronin told reporters. “We are working to officially confirm their identities. At this stage, we believe all four are foreign nationals.”
According to its website, Zeusch Aviation provides private charters, aerial mapping, and medical evacuation and transplant flights.
