Guinness World Record: Nigerian lady embarks on 7-day Paint-A-Thon
The Guinness World Record for the Longest Marathon Painting by an Individual is being broken by Olivea Lawson, a talented artist from Rivers State.
Since July 21st, Lawson, who is well-known for her artistic abilities as Holiveah, has been painting continuously. The Paint-A-Thon marathon is scheduled to take place for seven days, ending on July 27th, 2025.
The Bonny-born claims that the marathon is about more than simply individual success; it's also about inspiring young people, particularly women, and promoting Nigeria's rich cultural legacy.
Throughout the marathon, Lawson's artwork emphasizes the richness and diversity of Nigerian culture by focusing on themes of hope, resiliency, and African pride.
Art lovers throughout Nigeria and beyond have embraced Lawson's perseverance and inventiveness as she strives to surpass the existing record.
It is anticipated that the Paint-A-Thon will increase local tourism, establish Bonny Island as a center for creativity, and provide opportunities for cultural and commercial collaborations. Lawson has already put in more than 90 hours, so she is well on her way to reaching her objective.
