A pastor and his wife were abducted by gunmen who assaulted a church in Kogi State.  During a Sunday service, the recently founded Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area, was attacked.  

The town was alleged to have been plunged into disarray after armed bandits launched an attack during the church session.  

A local claimed that as gunfire reverberated across the area, worshippers were compelled to flee for their lives.  Orlando, the church's pastor, his wife, and a few other members were hauled away.

Residents described the incident as horrifying, claiming the bandits invaded the village abruptly and left many residents in shock.  It is still unknown how many people were kidnapped.  ? 

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government on Sunday claimed it has enhanced surveillance and, manhunt against the robbers that attacked the church.  It is still to be confirmed the actual number of members of the church that were carried away by the gunman.  

However, the State government, through the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Kingsley Fanwo, said security agencies were working to obtain the release of the kidnap victims.
