Gunmen shoots politician dead in his Rivers State hotel
Samuel Obe Ngobe, a young politician and community activist in Ebubu, Eleme Local Government Area, Rivers State, was assassinated by gunmen who may have been assassins.
On May 22, the attackers broke into the deceased's local hotel and shot him to death.
The two masked suspects entered the area on a motorcycle, approached the politician, and started shooting at him.
Additionally, it was learned that the attackers took the hotel employees' cell phones in order to stop them from setting out an alarm.
Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, the Rivers State Command's Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the murder when called on Monday.
