Kano govt announces Sallah break for schools starts Wednesday
The Kano State Government has declared Eid-el-Kabir to be a vacation for all of the state's elementary and secondary schools.
The announcement was made on Sunday by Dr. Ali Makoda, the state commissioner for education, in a statement signed by Mr. Balarabe Kiru, the director of public education for the Ministry of Education.
According to Makoda, boarding students will observe the vacation until June 15 once the holiday starts on Wednesday, June 4. On Monday, June 16, day students are anticipated to return.
On the morning of June 4, boarding students' parents and guardians are expected to pick up their children.
The commissioner affirmed that every other aspect of the academic calendar for 2024–2025, including all recognised holidays, will not alter.
