Kwara governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq sacks aides

A cabinet reorganization that impacts all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Principal Private Secretary has been approved by Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq.

Mashood Agboola, the governor's deputy chief press secretary, made the announcement in a statement on Monday, characterizing the change as a little cabinet shuffle.

“Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved a minor cabinet shake-up involving all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants,” the statement read.

The statement claims that the decision was made in order to provide more members of the ruling party opportunity and revitalize the government.

The Deputy Chief of Staff and the Governor's Principal Private Secretary are also impacted by the exercise, according to the statement.

The governor also wished the affected appointees success in their future endeavors and thanked them for their service to the state.

The governor ordered all impacted officials to turn up whatever government property they owned to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, according to the statement.

The reorganization is a part of the AbdulRazaq administration's efforts to increase involvement within the government and reassemble some members of its team.
