Kwara installs solar energy in 13 public hospitals

In an effort to improve healthcare service and guarantee a steady supply of electricity throughout the state, the Kwara State Government has expanded renewable energy infrastructure to more public hospitals. The Kwara State Hospitals Management Board's management revealed this in a statement in the state capital of Ilorin on Monday.

The project, according to the statement, is a component of the government's commitment to advancing environmentally friendly and sustainable healthcare systems while enhancing the availability of power in public health institutions.

It clarified that by installing solar inverter systems, a number of hospitals have now joined other medical facilities already reaping the benefits of renewable energy systems. Reviews of So This Happened (EP 378): A fight between King Mitchy and VeryDarkMan causes mayhem online0:08 and 1:01

“Under the intervention, six major hospitals received 30 KVA solar inverter systems to boost their power capacity and enhance service delivery,” the statement read.

General Hospital Share, Children's Specialist Hospital Ilorin, General Hospital Erin-Ile, General Hospital Omu-Aran, Specialist Hospital Jebba, and the Essential Drugs Program are among the hospitals.

In a similar vein, 10 KVA solar inverter systems were installed in seven other medical institutions to improve the electrical supply for both normal and emergency medical services.

“These facilities are Cottage Hospital Iponrin, Cottage Hospital Alapa, General Hospital Agbamu, Cottage Hospital Ilemona, General Hospital Oro-Ago, Cottage Hospital Edidi, and Cottage Hospital Idofin Odo-Ashe,” the statement noted.

The board credited Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq's dedication to enhancing healthcare services and advancing environmentally friendly projects throughout the state for the growth of renewable energy infrastructure.

It stated that the governor's administration has continued to place a high priority on sustainability initiatives, healthcare infrastructure improvements, and better resident access to high-quality medical treatment.
