According to reports, a young man named IK committed suicide in the Abuja neighborhood of Kagini.  Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to Minister Nyesom Wike of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), shared a video of the event on his verified Facebook page. 

It was reported to have occurred on Friday.  Some individuals who were presumably his neighbors or friends could be heard in the video asking why IK chose to hang himself.  

Others who wanted to see the stool he climbed to hang himself also suspected foul play.  As of the time this report was filed, the FCT police had not yet responded to the event.
