Naira appreciates against dollar at foreign market
As the nation's external reserves increased to $41.84 billion as of September 15, 2025, the Naira saw the most increase against the US dollar on the official foreign exchange rate market.
According to figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria, the value of the naira increased from N1,497.47 on Monday to N1,484.14 on Tuesday.
This indicates that Tuesday's N13.33 gain versus the dollar was the largest one-day gain this week for the naira. The official FX market's upward trend is the biggest achievement since February 2025.
On the black market, the Naira held steady at N1,537 to the dollar on Tuesday, which was the same price as on Monday.
This comes after Nigeria's external reserves continued to increase, reaching $41.84 billion as of September 15, 2025, from $41.70 billion on September 12th, according to central bank data.
