In the parallel market, the Naira increased to N1,470 per dollar yesterday from N1,475 on Monday. 

In a similar vein, in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market, or NFEM, the naira increased to N1,416 per dollar. 

The exchange rate for the naira decreased to N1,416 per dollar from N1,428 per dollar on Monday, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). This represents a N12 appreciation for the currency. 

As a result, the difference between the official and alternative markets increased from N47 to N54 per dollar on Monday.
