In the parallel market, the Naira increased from N1,475 per dollar last weekend to N1,455 per dollar yesterday.  

However, in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the naira fell to N1,438 per dollar.  

The exchange rate for the naira increased to N1,438 per dollar from N1,427.5 per dollar last Friday, according to data released by the Central Bank of Nigeria, or CBN, showing a N10.5 devaluation.  

As a result, the difference between the NFEM rate and the parallel market shrank from N47.5 per dollar last weekend to N17 per dollar.
