To start the week, the Naira lost value in relation to the US dollar in Monday's official foreign currency market.  

This is based on exchange statistics released by the Central Bank of Nigeria at the end of Monday's business day.  

The Naira fell slightly to N1,536.42 versus the dollar on Monday, according to the apex bank's exchange rate statistics, from N1,535.04 on Friday at the end of last week.  

This indicates that, in comparison to the N1,535.04 traded on Friday, the Naira fell by N1.38 versus the dollar on Monday.
