In the parallel market, the value of the naira dropped from N1,625 to N1,630 per dollar on Thursday to N1,630 on Friday.  

The value of the naira fluctuated this week after depreciating to N1,610 per dollar at the beginning of the week. 

 When compared to the N1,606 per dollar it ended at the previous weekend, the naira's exchange rate has increased by 1.49 percent.  

Black market dealers, meantime, have blamed the naira's decline on the ongoing rise in demand and the scarcity of dollars.
