On Monday, both the official and parallel foreign currency markets saw a notable increase in the value of the naira relative to the US dollar, marking a strong start to the week.  

The black market value of the naira increased from N1,500 on Friday, October 25, 2025, to N1,485 on Monday.  

This shows that, compared to last week's end, the naira gained N15 against the dollar on the black market.  

Similarly, at the official market, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria revealed that the naira strengthened by N5.16 to close on Monday at N1,452.79 to the dollar, up from N1,457.96 on Friday.  

Last week, the official market saw the naira appreciate versus the dollar for the fifth week in a row.
