A false message claiming that the NELFUND Student Loan Registration Portal is available has been spreading online, and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund has warned the public about it.  

Applicants are directed by the communication to a third-party URL (http://gvly.xyz/Nelfund-Student-Loan), which NELFUND verifies is fraudulent and unauthorized.  

NELFUND advised students and the general public not to click on the link or divulge any personal information in a message taken from its X handle on Tuesday, stressing that the official loan registration portal is only available through the Fund's approved channels.  

The organization advised candidates to use caution when using the internet and to report any dubious correspondence or links purporting to be from NELFUND.

“Applicants are encouraged to always verify official announcements via NELFUND’s official website and social media channels,” NELFUND said.

As part of its continuous efforts to protect students and guarantee the integrity of the student loan application procedure, NELFUND has issued this advise.
