Mercy Aigbe, a Nollywood actress, revealed her mother's passing on Tuesday.  The actress posted the heartbreaking news on Instagram with the phrase, "R.I.P. Mum," and a picture of candles on a shattered heart background.  

A flood of condolence letters from friends, admirers, and coworkers in the entertainment world followed the announcement.

Actress Iyabo Ojo wrote: “So sorry ore, may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”

Controversial crossdresser Idris Olanrewaju commented: “Sorry sis.”

Actor Bolanle Ninalowo stated, “My condolences, sis.”

Celebrities like Omowunmi Ajiboye and Tayo Faniran also expressed their condolences and prayed for her mother's soul to rest.
