After speaking in church about having their first child almost 30 years after getting married, a Nigerian couple went viral on social media. 

The woman described their decades-long quest for a child, which included two unsuccessful IVF efforts and years of prayer, in her moving testimony, which was given at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. 

Despite many obstacles, the couple, who were married in July 1994, never wavered in their beliefs. 

According to the woman, she became pregnant at the age of 56 and gave birth in January 2025, right before her 57th birthday.

“We got married in 1994, July precisely. Since then, we’ve been believing in God for the fruit of the womb. It had been a challenging time, but God manifested himself after all. We’ve been through some treatments, two failed IVFs.

“The journey had been that of pain, cry, and joy at times. Anytime I saw people testify, I asked God when I testify. You have not called me to shame. You have not called this home to shame, and God did it.

“There was a time I had an attack on my leg, and I told God I would still need this leg to carry a pregnancy. And God helped me,” she said.

On social media, their story has generated heartfelt comments and a lot of congrats.
