Taiwo Hassan, also known as Ogogo, a well-known Nollywood actor, has passed away.

Several sources, including Seun Oloketuyi, the founder of Best of Nollywood, verified the actor's passing.

In a social media post, Oloketuyi declared, "Taiwo Hassan Ogogo is dead."

“He finally lost the battle of life.”

During a live Instagram session on Sunday, Kaira Taiwo, Ogogo's daughter, was also seen sobbing and expressing shock at her father's passing.

In an Instagram post, Saheed Balogun, a Nigerian actor and filmmaker, also expressed his condolences for the seasoned actor.

“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. You can rest now my brother Taiwo Hassan Ogogo. May Almighty Allah guide you through Aljannah. This is truly painful.” Balogun wrote.

The actor passed away a few days after his daughters, Kaira and Lima Taiwo, requested medical support for their father, who was suffering from stage-four cancer.

The sisters used social media on Monday, August 17, 2026, to ask for help and medical guidance for the star.

Kaira claims that doctors had told the family that because of his health, they could no longer give him chemotherapy.
