Ogun govt recruits 550 new Amotekun operatives to strengthen security

In an attempt to fortify the state's security framework, the Ogun State administration has hired 550 new members for the Ogun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps.

The recruitment of 550 new officers, according to State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, who spoke at the passing out of the new recruits, is a sustained investment in the State's security architecture that demonstrates his administration's dedication to safeguarding the lives, property, and prosperity of all citizens.

Speaking through his deputy, Abiodun said the action was intended to fortify the State's security structure even more.

The governor emphasized that the ceremony was a major turning point in the group's efforts to make Ogun State safer and that the Amotekun Corps was created to supplement the federal security forces already in place by utilizing local intelligence and community confidence.

In line with his administration's "Building Our Future Together Agenda," he credited the State's tranquil climate to strategic planning, consistent investment, and cooperative efforts meant to foster an atmosphere where people can live and prosper fearlessly and the economy may flourish.
