A 33-year-old man named Fatai Yisa has been charged with stealing by the Ekiti State Police Command and is being held in the Chief Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti.  

The defendant, a factory sales assistant, is charged with stealing 1,570 bags of pure water between January and June 10, 2025, according to the prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi.  

According to Inspector Oriyomi, one Oluwa Tobi Opeyemi was the owner of the N549,500 worth of stolen goods.  

The offence violates Section 302 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021, he informed the court.
