A masquerade that allegedly attacked innocent people during a funeral in Awgbu, Orumba North Local Government Area, the state, has been detained by the Anambra State Police Command. 

The disguise was seen hurrying toward those seated at the high table in a widely shared video, forcing them to turn around. 

Until they were able to remove the masquerade from the arena, some physically fit males were also observed attempting to prevent the masquerade from harming bystanders. 

In a statement, Tochukwu Ikenga, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), stated that the command would not tolerate such unprovoked attacks and that it had to step in for the public's protection.
