Police arrest three suspects over death of female lawyer in Abuja

According to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, three individuals have been detained in relation to the death of Ms. Princess Chigbo, a female lawyer, in Abuja.

This was announced in a statement on Sunday in Abuja by SP Josephine Adeh, the FCT's police public relations officer.

According to her, the command's ongoing battle against violent crime in the FCT has made significant progress since the offenders were apprehended.

According to Adeh, the defendants were supposedly well-known armed robbery suspects involved in "one-chance" crimes and Chigbo's horrific murder.

She claims that the arrest was made in accordance with explicit orders from Mr. Miller Dantawaye, the Commissioner of Police (CP) in charge of the FCT.

She stated that the CP has ordered the identification and prosecution of those responsible for the murder and other like crimes in the FCT.

“Between Jan. 5 and 20, operatives of the Command’s Scorpion Squad, led by ACP Victor Godfrey, acting on reconstructive digital intelligence, tracked the victim’s mobile phone.

“The squad conducted follow-up operations at Dei-Dei, Dakwa, and Dan-Tata communities within the Kubwa Area of the FCT.

“These intelligence-led operations led to the arrest of the three suspects; two of the suspects are biological brothers,” she said.

According to her, a preliminary investigation showed that the suspects belonged to a well-known "one-chance" armed robbery syndicate that had been active in the FCT for a number of years.
