Two suspects have been taken into custody by the Edo State Police Command in relation to the abrupt disappearance of a 49-year-old mechanic in Benin City.  

According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the mechanic, Edward Onalise, vanished on April 12, 2025.  Moses Yamu, the Command's Public Relations Officer, told reporters in Benin City on Tuesday that the suspects had been arrested.  

Yamu identified the defendants who were taken into custody as Okuze Saturday and Ekundayo Ohimaye.  

He stated that a thorough inquiry has been ordered to solve the enigma surrounding the victim's disappearance by Monday Agbonika, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Command.

“The case is under investigation, and we will keep the public informed as the investigation progresses,” he said.
