Police arrest woman with N2 million in Kogi, recovers ammunition
A 23-year-old lady was taken into custody by the Kogi State Police Command at a lodge in Oguda village, Okene, after it was discovered that she was in possession of illicit guns.
In a statement released on Friday, the command stated that after receiving a tip, its agents assigned to the Okene division detained a suspect named Charity Williams during an intelligence-led raid.
According to the police, they found four phones, hard drugs, an axe, six rounds of 9mm live ammo, a locally manufactured Beretta pistol, and N2,047,300.
In the statement, William Aya, the Police Public Relations Officer, clarified that the security agency had learned that a suspected criminal had been spotted in Yuwander Lodge, which is said to be a suspected criminal hideout in Oguda village, Okene.
