Police nabs suspected killers of retired Delta State judge
An important development in the investigation is the arrest of suspects connected to the murder of retired Justice Ifeoma Okogwu in Anambra State by members of the Delta State Police Command.
This was revealed in a statement on Sunday by SP Bright Edafe, the command's spokesperson. He claims that on December 6, 2025, agents from the State Criminal Investigation Department's (CID) Homicide Section detained Godwin Mngumi, a 25-year-old security guard, who was suspected of killing the retired judge based on reliable information.
Additionally, the deceased's cell phone was found on him.
According to Edafe, the suspect admitted to inviting Nnaji Obalum, a friend, and another accomplice who is still at large to the house, where they allegedly committed the crime.
Nnaji Obalum has also been taken into custody, he continued, and a manhunt is underway to find the third culprit.
