Ten years of leadership at the organization came to an end on Friday when Professor Is-haq Oloyede turned over his position as Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board to Professor Segun Aina.

Aina was appointed by President Bola Tinubu to replace Oloyede as JAMB's new registrar.

Bayo Onanuga, the President's Special Advisor on Information and Strategy, made the announcement in a statement.

The Presidency claims that Aina teaches computer engineering at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife and has experience with institutional reforms, digital infrastructure, and national examination systems.

The Presidency stated that Aina has a PhD in Digital Signal Processing from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, a Master's degree in Internet Computing and Network Security, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Kent. Additionally, he finished Lagos Business School's Senior Management Program.

The new registrar has over 15 years of expertise advising federal and state governments on institutional reforms, systems design, and digital transformation.

Aina has also provided advice on ICT systems and exam integrity to examination authorities, such as the National Examinations Council and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board.
