Following the death of a man known only as Moses in a suspected cult conflict, chaos erupted in Atan-Ota, Ado-Odo-Ota Local Government Area, Ogun State, on Sunday.  

According to a community member, the deceased was fatally hacked by Aye Confraternity members.  

"We are the ones in charge," the alleged cultists said in pidgin as they repeatedly struck the victim's right wrist with machetes in one of the unsettling films.  Several cutlasses fell on Moses as he lay face down in the video, seemingly unconscious.  

The dead body with a badly disfigured wrist was seen in another graphic video, surrounded by mourners who cried out his name.

“Moses, my God,” one of the mourners was heard crying in Yoruba.
