President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the Bodo–Bonny Road to be extended to connect with the East–West Road in Rivers State, as well as for the immediate rehabilitation of three federal roads in Niger State. 

During a meeting with David Umahi, the Minister of Works, the president granted the approval. 

To guarantee longevity and long-term value, reinforced concrete pavement is anticipated to be used in the reconstruction of the three road projects in Niger State. 

These consist of Bida–Labata Road (123.5km), Mokwa–Makeri Road (63km), and Mokwa–Bida Road (120km). 

The project will be carried out on a dual carriageway capacity in order to connect the Bodo-Bonny Road to the East-West Road. Concrete pavement and solar-powered street lighting are also anticipated.
