Tinubu set to build new APC national secretariat
Plans to construct a new national secretariat for the All Progressives Congress in Abuja were unveiled by President Bola Tinubu on Thursday.
“We’ll look for an appropriate land to build a befitting secretariat,” Tinubu declared at the 14th APC National Executive Committee meeting held at the State House Conference Centre, Abuja.
Tinubu did not, however, specify the sum allotted to the project. The present APC national secretariat is situated at 40 Blantyre Street, Wuse II, Abuja, and is known as the Muhammadu Buhari House.
After the party paid N2.5 billion for the site and transferred its activities there later that year, the building was named after Buhari by the party's Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee in June 2021.
The party rescheduled Thursday's emergency meeting to the Presidential Villa, despite holding its last NEC meeting in Buhari House.
