Two students were expelled by the administration of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi state, for allegedly engaging in homosexual behavior.

The school also rusticated four other students for allegedly participating in fighting on campus, according to a statement released by the department of public relations.

The punishment was approved during the university senate's 31st meeting, which took place in the lecture hall of the college of law.   

The students' disciplinary committee's recommendations served as the basis for the disciplinary actions.

The institution claimed that the disciplinary measures were carried out in compliance with the guidelines of the Students' Handbook, Second Edition, as updated in 2025, in a letter signed by Eli Usman Gbadafu, the deputy registrar (academics).

Onumoko Hamza, Abdulazeez Lukman Eneji, Favor Akowe, Simbiat Babamuharuna, Zainab Salami Omayoza, and Sukura Bukola are a few of the pupils.

Additionally, the varsity reaffirmed its dedication to upholding order, discipline, and a favorable atmosphere for instruction.
