Zamfara increases monthly allowance to N150,000 for NYSC doctors
The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) medical professionals now receive a monthly payment of N150,000 from the Zamfara State Government. This was revealed by Governor Dauda Lawal during the swearing-in of the 2026 Batch A Stream One corps members in Gusau recently.
He stated that all corps members assigned to schools, ministries, departments, and agencies would receive a monthly state allowance of ?20,000, while other health professionals would receive ?50,000.
The governor restated the state’s commitment to the NYSC members’ welfare, safety, and a suitable working environment.
Governor Lawal reassured the corps members that they would have sufficient security, on behalf of Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development Alhaji Tasi'u Shinkafi.
He said that the state government had made sufficient plans to guarantee the safety of every corps member stationed in the state, working with the NYSC administration and security services.
